Biography: Alessa is a PhD student at the Faculty of Economics under the supervision of Dr Kamiar Mohaddes. Her research analyses the economic costs of biodiversity depletion, deforestation, and climate change. She holds an MPhil in Economic Research from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Economics from the University of Aberdeen. Prior to starting her PhD, Alessa worked as a Senior Economist in consulting focusing on sustainability, natural resources, and biodiversity.
