Research Interests: Demand-side energy management and response; Energy and environmental issues in developing countries.

Background: Dr. Aoife Brophy Haney is Departmental Research Lecturer in Innovation and Enterprise, a joint position between the School of Geography and Environment and Saïd Business School in Oxford. Aoife’s research focuses on the connections between technological, organizational and institutional change related to sustainability.  Aoife was previously a senior researcher at the Group for Sustainability and Technology (SusTec) at ETH in Zurich. Aoife received her PhD from the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge and her MA from the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University. Before her PhD, Aoife worked as a research assistant with EPRG, where she was involved in several research and consulting projects for industry, the World Bank and for the UK government.
