Biography: Dr Matthias A Schnellmann is a Research Associate in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge. He holds a BA and MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge and recently completed his PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Cambridge. During his EPSRC-funded doctoral work, in collaboration with Johnson Matthey plc., he developed a new approach that analyses energy technologies holistically, from the fundamental science underpinning them to the industrial scale. Since completing his PhD, Matthias has been developing multi-scale models of low carbon energy technologies.
