Biography: Michelle Baddeley is an applied and behavioural economist and Director of the University of South Australia’s Institute for Choice, based in North Sydney. She has previously held academic positions at University College London’s Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment and the University of Cambridge. She has broad interests in the economics of infrastructure, housing and other built environment themes. Current energy projects include analyses of household energy consumption, costs of unreliability for Zambian firms, consumers’ attitudes towards smart meters and behavioural approaches to energy infrastructure investment appraisal and regulation.
