Biography: Dr Hannula is a Senior Scientist and Principal Investigator at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd. He has over ten years of experience in modelling and development of advanced energy conversion systems that produce fuels, electricity and heat from sustainable feedstocks.
Ilkka Hannula holds a Diploma degree in Industrial Energy Engineering from the Helsinki University of Technology followed by Doctoral degree in Energy Engineering from the Aalto University School of Engineering. He was previously a visiting researcher at the Energy Systems Analysis Group of Princeton University in 2011, and a Fortum Foundation visiting scholar at EPRG in 2016.
