Research Topic: Incorporating flexibility and dynamic response into nuclear energy R&D
Research Interests: R&D policy, energy policy, real options, system dynamics, future nuclear energy systems.
Biography: Matt is a PhD student in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge, having previously graduated with and MPhil in Technology Policy from Judge Business School in June 2012. Prior to this he worked at the STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, where he conducted analysis and design of targets for high power particle accelerators. He also holds an MEng (1st class honours) from the Queen’s University of Belfast and is a Chartered Engineer (MIMechE).
