Research topic: Contemporary socio-economic history of how renewable energy achieved cost competitiveness in key European markets, 1986 – 2017

Biography: Mercedes is a part-time PhD student at the Faculty of History. She previously obtained an MPhil in Latin American Studies at Cambridge, and read her undergraduate degree in History at Di Tella University back in Argentina, where she is from originally. She has been working in the energy sector for the last 6 years, and currently has a role as Senior Client Development Manager for the Energy & Infrastructure Sector at international law firm Eversheds Sutherland.
